School Clothing

Ashmead does not have a school uniform.

We expect children to dress appropriately and safely, e.g. dressing appropriately for the weather. Children should not wear open-toed shoes nor should their shoulders or backs be uncovered.

We encourage children to be active both inside and out and as jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, bangles, dangly or hooped earrings) can become caught and cause accidents, it should not be worn to school. If your child has their ears pierced, they should wear small studs and not hoops. A watch can be worn. Necklaces and bracelets are not appropriate for wearing in school time.

If there is a particular religious or cultural reason for wearing an item of jewellery please speak to the school leadership team.
