Extended Day / Clubs

We offer an extended day from 8am – 6pm.

Our Breakfast Club is bookable via Arbor and should be booked at least 24 hours in advance, the current cost for this is £5 for 8am – 8.55am.

Our after school care is provided by Teachsport and runs from the end of the school day (3.30pm). There are two options, a ‘short’ session until 4.30pm and a ‘full’ session until 6pm. The cost for the short session is £7.20 and the full session is £18.

As well as after school care we also offer a number of enrichment clubs, these might be sports based or based on children’s other current interests.

We have four new clubs starting after Christmas, see below for more details:

Film Club – for Year 4 – 6, where imagination comes to life on screen!

In this fun and creative club, pupils will explore the exciting world of movie-making, from planning and acting to filming and editing their own short films. We'll look at the history of film and how different milestones changed the industry forever.
Each week, members will work together to:
Create stories and scripts – inventing characters, settings, and plots.
Learn about film roles – such as director, camera operator, actor, and editor.
Use iPads to film scenes.
Experiment with simple editing software to add music, sound effects, and titles.

Science Experiments Club – for Year 1 – 2, where curiosity leads the way!
In this fun and hands-on club, pupils will explore the wonders of science through simple, safe, and exciting experiments. Each week, children will get stuck in with activities that fizz, pop, float or fly! We’ll also learn a little about the amazing scientists and discoveries behind the ideas we explore.
Each week we will:
• Try out fun, easy experiments using everyday materials.
• Make predictions about what might happen and see the results unfold.
• Explore different areas of science such as forces, light, sound, weather and nature.
• Work together to investigate questions and solve simple challenges.
• Learn through play with plenty of hands-on discovery time.

Yoga & Dance Club – a fun, active space for Year 1–3 pupils to move, stretch, and shine!
In this club, children explore the joy of dance and the calm of yoga, helping them build confidence, focus, and coordination while having lots of fun.

What we do:
Each week, pupils will:

  • Learn simple dance routines that build rhythm, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Try child-friendly yoga poses inspired by nature and animals.
  • Practise breathing techniques to help with relaxation and focus.
  • Develop key skills such as balance, flexibility, strength, and mindful movement.

A perfect mix of movement and mindfulness to help young learners feel strong, calm, and confident!

Cooking club – for Year 4-6 to have fun and learn to cook!

Children will make various snacks and foods including savoury treats and baked goods such as pizza, fruit salad, flapjacks. They will draw upon their maths, science, art and design/technology skills to create enticing dishes. We will explore different cutting techniques and how to handle kitchenware safely as well as understanding the importance of hygiene in the kitchen.

As always, our school remains nut free. Should your child have an allergy, recipes can be adapted.

Children will get to taste what they've made at the end of each session and discuss its taste, texture and appearance. If your child gets a confirmed space then they will need to bring an empty Tupperware container each session in order to take home any leftover treats.
