Today in art Oak class enjoyed looking at Quentin Blake illustrations and thinking about how he exaggerates certain features to tell stories about characters. We then did some quick continuous line drawings of our live models in silly poses – we quickly realised the benefits of taking risks with this drawing style and embraced this new way of working. Finally, we turned our favourite book/film characters into Quentin Blake style illustrations. We had lots of fun!
