We’re immersed ourselves into the Golden Age of Ancient Greece on our first day back this half term.
We learnt how many of the discoveries and creations of Ancient Greece are still used today including the Olympics, democracy, architecture (including art and mathematics), the alphabet and theatre.
Here we are living through the Golden Age through role play. We attempted a (heavily shortened) marathon, discuss, javelin and long jump as Olympic events, watching theatre, using mathematics to put shapes back together on our Parthenon, writing our names using the green alphabet and voting on the order we would complete each event.
