For the Take One Picture project, Reception Rowan were inspired by the wind in Claude-Joseph Vernet’s ‘A Shipwreck in Stormy Seas’, which was also mirrored by our experience of Storm Eunice in London. We talked a lot about the destruction caused by the wind and how we could warn each other of another an incoming storm. We decided to create a wind chime, using branches that had fallen due to the storm we experienced ourselves. Over the last two weeks, we perfected our threading skills to make a jingle-jangle string each to add to our wind chime using buttons, keys, shells and bells. We can’t wait for you to see our finished wind chime at our Take One Picture exhibition next week!
