Posted by We were inspired by our book of the week ‘The Train Ride’ and thought about what the train would pass. A friend made Crystal Palace station.
We then printed out a map of London, with lots of the famous landmarks. We used this map to ‘travel’ to different places in our imaginative play and to build the landmarks from blocks.
We had Nelson’s Column, Tower Bridge (that opened for boats!) St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, the London Eye and much more! I wonder if you can spot them?!
We’re excited to continue this next week and to make our own maps! It also happens to fit so well with our focus of ‘mapping’ for Geography Week, how did Nursery know?
