Aspen Romeo and Juliet performance

Posted by

Aspen class gave a superb performance at school last night as part of our contribution to the Shakespeare Schools Foundation’s annual festival. Their brilliant teamwork shone through every moment of the play. The acting was superb and the children showed a very impressive understanding of this complex text both in their articulation and their expressiveness. Well done to all these amazing children. Thanks also to the adults who helped them – Andy, Paul, Rachel, Ellie from Ashmead and thanks also to Fahmida for providing the lovely backdrop.

We have recorded the performance and will contact parents and carers next week about this.

  1. The performance you all gave was totally awesome. Your delivery was flawless and all of you should be so so proud of yourselves! Well done to each and every one of you! And to Andy and the wider team for helping the kids be part of such a great initiative and giving us a real treat on a Friday night x x

  2. Such an amazing achievement for a year 5 class! All the children were totally focused and giving their all throughout. This was one of the very few highlights of 2020, even though we had to enjoy it on Zoom. Well done!

Thanks also to Ashmead staff for staying late and being a very receptive and enthusiastic live audience.
