We have really enjoyed creating persuasive writing speeches in our literacy lessons over the last few weeks.
We planned and wrote our speeches and really concentrated whilst we worked. The only sound in the classroom was our pens and pencils writing!
When we had finished composing our speech we edited with red pen. We had to read our work to ourselves to check for any mistakes.
Our final piece of persuasive writing was a speech to Sean asking for a special workshop about the Anglo Saxons next half term.
We used persuasive language, rhetorical questions and even flattery! I think we might have begun to persuade him…
